Super Bowl XXXIII takes place at Pro Player Stadium in Miami
and the Denver Broncos, looking for back to back championships,
find the suprising Atlanta Falcons in their way. The Broncos
were down 10-0 to the Jets then exploded for 23 unanswered points
enroute to a 23-10 victory in John Elway's last game at Mile High
Stadium. The Falcons went to the Metrodome and took advantage of
a Gary Anderson missed field goal to force overtime and pulled
off the big upset winning 30-27. Believe both teams got some
education in their victories that will prepare them for the big
game. Denver used some big plays from Elway and some nice runs
by Davis to take control of the game. Atlanta used the solid
play from Chandler to throw some key passes to O.J. Santiago to
set up the game winning field goal. These two teams are very
evenly matched on the stat sheet. Think Denver has a better
offense because of Terrell Davis but Atlanta has the better
defense. With a strong rush defense and a solid secondary, the
Falcons are capable of slowing down the Bronco attack. Elway has
been winning but he has not looked very sharp the last couple of
weeks. Sure he is capable of putting together a big effort but
beware of safeties Robinson and Buchanan who did a wonderful job
on the Viking receivers. Randy Moss was limited to only one
catch for four yards in the second half. The Atlanta secondary
will put the pressure on receivers Smith and McCaffrey but must
not forget dangerous Sharpe in the middle of the field. The
Falcons have a strong rush defense and if they can contain Davis,
they have a good shot to win this game. The Broncos have alot of
weapons but Davis is the MVP of the year. Without him Denver
would not be the same team we see today. Concerned about the
Bronco secondary that can give up some big plays and the Falcons
are very capable of taking advantage. They were second in the
league in plays of 20 yards or greater and have big play
capability although most people don't realize this fact. Like
the fact that Atlanta is playing the underdog role again. This
team feeds off the fact that no one is giving them much chance
and they will try to prove everyone wrong. Atlanta will be very
hungry and this will show on the field. Falcons will give
Broncos a test. Take the points.

   DEN 11-4 Off a Win.
   ATL 5-2 Dogs.
